Jacob Morse is a senior this year at Bay City Central High School. During the past few months of his high school career Morse has been working very hard in the classroom, and on the field. Morse is involved is varsity football and baseball. On the football team, Morse is the starting strong side linebacker and wide receiver.
During the spring Morse is the starting catcher on the varsity team. With his nights under the lights of Elmer Engel Stadium already over one thing Morse says he looks forward to the most about baseball season is, “Taking the field one last time during his high school career of baseball, and every other sport.”
This is Morse’s second year being at the ISD Career Center, participating in the building trades class. Currently Morse spends his mornings working on a house with his fellow building trade classmates. One thing Morse is looking forward to doing in his building trades class is participating in Skills USA. This is a competition where you compete against others from around the state building a brick wall, while being timed. You are then judged on your skills, and accuracy of how well you did.
When Morse is not playing sports, or working hard in class his favorite thing to do is hangout with his friends. He is the type of person to bring a smile to everyone’s face no matter the day, or time. Morse has a bright future after high school, he is a great friend, student, and athlete.
