Friday Night Lights, the best part of fall. Another night in Engel Stadium. This Friday we will be facing the Mount Pleasant, Oilers. After a tough loss to Midland Dow, Chemics 52-12 last week at home, the Central Wolves Varsity football team is ready to put up a fight.
Central’s one and only touchdown of the night was scored by junior, Unique Houston. Houston had a carry up the field of 59-yards to score a touchdown. Along with our lone exciting touchdown, this week, we had the return of three players, Max Tomczak, Landin Smith, and Mason Schumacher.
As the game came to an end the final score was 46-7 and Mount Pleasant dominated the field. Max Tomczak says, “Bay City Central gets smoked again.” As Glenn week is approaching quickly Tomczak also says, “We might lose, but hopefully we come out on top. We’re working hard, and we’re ready to play.”
Although the varsity football team here at Central is having a tough start to their season, they aren’t losing hope, and we are all standing behind them. With an 0-4 record things are looking bright as they head into week 5 of the season, to meet up with the John Glenn Bobcats in their stadium.
