Boys Varsity Lacrosse vs. Brandon High School

Lose: 7 - 14
The Wolves continue to improve, but could not dig out of an early hole and came up short in a 14-7 loss at soggy Engel field. There were many positives however, Dre Hawkins really stepped up to help a short handed defense as did Tyler Herber. The offense scored a season high and had more offensive zone possession time by far than any game this season.  Travis McLean is becoming a monster all over the field, fighting through a number of injuries. Our number one positive for the day was Landon Irwin, who has discovered his inner Lacrosse Lion and was in beast mode for a good percentage of the game. The team is fun to watch and continues to grow. Next week the team should be back to full strength. Please come out and support your BCC Wolves.

The Annual Lacrosse tournament at BCC featured great weather and great Lacrosse action. The Wolves went 1-3 on the day, but all games were very competitive. The final game against Waterford United was an exciting match up that ended in the seasons first victory for the young BCC team. Caden Burns and Tommy Schwind had strong offensive efforts, while the defense was led by Dylan Jones and a strong overall defensive effort. It was great to see all the hard work and effort rewarded with a victory. Special kudos to Mr Mike White, who had the facilities well prepared and emptied about 200 overflowing trash cans throughout the day!

The Wolves kicked off the Spring 2019 Season at Western. Although the score wasn't what we wanted there is plenty of optimism for the season. We have a full roster for the first time in multiple years and a ton of new players, including some upperclassmen new to the game. The team continues to learn and work very hard, with over half the roster being new, it will be exciting to watch them learn and grow. After Spring break the season resumes and the home opener is April 15th at 6pm.  Please come out to Engel Stadium and support your young Wolves. Lacrosse is an intense, hard hitting exciting game that is exploding in our area. Youth teams are forming an the future looks bright for BCC Lacrosse.
