The Wolves played their best game of the season in front of the best crowd in years at Engel Stadium last night. Despite being short-handed and suspect officiating, BCC scored a season high 5 goals. Jacy Holiday and Alyssa Brewster talied their first goals of the season.
The game was close at the half, but consecutive very questionable calls put the Wolves in too deep a hole to come back. Despite playing almost the entire third quarter, sometimes 2 players down, BCC played hard. We were pleased that our new AD attended the game, taking time out of her very busy day, thanks Mrs Thunberg!
The young Wolves wrap up the season next week.

The Wolves Lacrosse tournament fielded teams from all over the stat, even the U.P. The Wolves were 0-4, but were competitive in every game. Tyler Herber in goal and Dylan Jones, who scored his first 2 career goals, were standouts for BCC. The Wolves continue to work hard and play hard to represent BCC. Saint Clair and Sault Ste Marie played for the title, with SC prevailing. The Heritage hawks took home the third place trophy. Many positive comments were made about our "awesome " facilities and school. Be proud of your team and your school, Wolves.

The game was more competitive than the score shows. The young Wolves competed against a veteran BC Western squad. Scott Rembish made many huge saves in goal. As bad as the score was it was nowhere near the 34-0 score from two years ago. Keep working Wolves. Home game Thursday at Engel Stadium, come support your team.

The BCC Wolves played their best game of the season last night at Engel Stadium. The score was 4-1 late in the second half before a series of penalties took away momentum. The Wolves had more shots than the previous 2 games combined and possessed the ball for extended periods. The defense, led by the big three of Jeremy Jacobs, Jacy Holliday and Dylan Jones, played a very strong game. Caden Burns had his best game as the team continues to improve. The Wolves face Western at Elmer Engel stadium Wednesday at 6, come support your team and as always, BEAT WESTERN!

BCC started with a strong first quarter and led 1-0 on a goal by Brice Rule. The second quarter was ugly, many consecutive penalties led to a 4-1 deficit at the half. The second half was tightly contested with Centrals' defense, led by Dylan Jones and Jacy Holliday, and also bolstered by the return of Jeremy Jacobs, keeping the Wolves in the game until late. John Chaffer added a second half goal as well. The young team continues to improve and grow. Please pass the word that after Spring break our next two games are at home, let's fill the stands and support our team.

The 2018 Bay City Central Lacrosse season is underway. Our first game was more competitive than the final score shows. It was the first live game action for a good number of players. After some early jitters the team settled in and got better as the game went. John Chaffer scored his first goal of the season. Our next game is Wednesday, with some key players returning after missing the opener, optimism is high.
